LAKE FOREST HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY SPRING PROGRAM 2012

The Lake Forest High School Hockey Association welcomes all incoming potential Lake Forest High School hockey players, our current freshman and sophomore players, as well as players that already attend Lake Forest High School (but did not play for the Scouts this past season), to participate in our Spring Program.

The primary goal of our Spring Program is to introduce the incoming players to the Scout coaching staff and to our current freshmen and sophomore players.  For those of you that are new to our program or are trying to determine where your hockey player should play next season, here are the advantages of joining the Scouts:  Hopefully, you will agree that the Lake Forest High School Hockey program, with all the benefits listed below, is the right program for your student athlete.

  • COST  There is no doubt that the Scout Hockey program is the best value in the northern suburbs.  The combination of our fee structure and our fund raising activities allow many of our players to play for ½ half the cost of other competitive programs.
  • COACHING  Lake Forest Scout Hockey has assembled the best coaching staff in Illinois High School Hockey.  Our coaches combine unmatched hockey credentials with great integrity- a combination no other high school program has matched.
  • SOCIAL Your hockey player will enter Lake Forest High School , immediately being familiar with up to 40 other student athletes- many of whom are upper classmen.  This should help your student athlete’s transition into high school.  And… won’t it be fun for your player to perform in front of fellow Lake Forest classmates?
  • ACADEMIC  When a Lake Forest High School student plays for the Scouts, the player is allowed to avoid physical education class and instead, schedule a study hall (one semester).  Again, the study hall should benefit your student’s transition to high school.  If your student plays hockey at another organization, there is a requirement to take physical education at LFHS
