Lake Forest Scouts Hockey

Home Ice Advantage Campaign

The Lake Forest College rink opened in the old field house facility in 1970 and no significant improvements have been made to the building since then.  As everyone who has been to a game recently would agree, the facility now needs a lot of work!

The cost of the renovation project is estimated to be $4.5 million.  Lake Forest College has already raised over $1.1 million from its hockey alumni to date.  The Scouts have committed to raise $1 million.  We are asking for community residents to help in meeting this goal.  Please help us provide our children and community with a rink commensurate with what all other North Shore communities provide to their families.

Features of the renovated rink:

  • new playing surface and sub-surface
  • updated locker rooms
  • new stands that will seat up to 500 fans
  • revamped lobby complete with trophy cases and wall plaques honoring past achievements
  • improved public restrooms
