LF Scout Hockey Tree Lot 2016
Senior Night 2016
On the Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving the Lake Forest High School Scout Hockey program hosted its First Annual Hockey Homecoming. The event took place at the Scout home rink at the Lake Forest College and consisted of two games with a half time "Shootout for Charity". Both the Varsity and JV teams played to wins against the teams from Libertyville but the highlight of the evening was the shootout between the games. Attendees to the game were given tickets that gave them a chance to participate in the half time event. During the Varsity second period ten tickets were drawn and between the games the lucky ten shot 3 pucks from mid ice with chance to win both a prize for themselves and a donation to one of three charities that the Scouts support. The lucky ten consisted of alumni hockey players, current students and one special teacher and parent. Jack Hubbard, Sean Ewert, Jimmy Nolan, Aiden Halloran, Nicholas Yehle, Maddy Moore, Joshua Diez, Caroline Knop, Jack Spano, Geoff Surkamer and Ms. G all gave it their best and $1500 was donated by the Scouts to 'A Safe Place', GLASA and CROYA .
This well attended event highlights the Scout Hockey program's involvement in the community and is just one of several events that the team does to support local charities.
