Scouts and Fill A Heart 4 Kids - Project Cocoa

01/06/2020, 1:30pm CST
By Scouts

Fill a Heart 4 Kids is an organization started by a local Lake Forest resident to help foster and homeless children in the area. They are based out of Gorton Center. Please read about all the wonderful things they do throughout the entire year at:

Scout Hockey players volunteered at Fill A Heart 4 Kids on Thursday January 9th. The players brought in donations and assembled packages of food and supplies for homeless and foster children in need. Scout Hockey is proud to support the important and compassionate work that is done by Fill A Heart 4 Kids. However, they are always in need of many items - especially $5 gift cards to McDonalds or Dunkin Donuts so that these homeless children can come in from the cold and eat something warm in an actual restaurant. They have lists of other needed items as well if you check their site. Not an obligation, but if your family wants to contribute, it would be much appreciated by the organization.
