Tradition

Lake Forest High School Scouts Hockey History
LFHS Hockey was first started in 1975 and has been operating for nearly 50 years.  The Scouts traditions run deep within the community and below you'll see the tradition and history of Scouts hockey.

JV Blue sored 2nd place in the Kings Kup preseason tourney 9/10/23 after a hard-fought game vs rival Prep.

All three Scouts teams made it to the championship game of the September 2022 Kings Kup. Varsity & JV Blue brought home the championship win. Varsity defeated Libertyville and JV Blue beat Prep in OT! JV Gold took home 2nd place after an 8 round shootout! All three teams were there together until the very end supporting one another.

Scouts Hockey was accepted into the Scholastic Hockey League (SHL), the premier high school league in the state in May, 2022.

Alongside the growing player talent in the program, Scouts Hockey Director and Varsity Head Coach, Steve Sarauer, and his coaching staff have brought continued player development, accountability, integrity, and a positive competitive culture to the Scouts Hockey program, all helping make this exciting jump possible.
