2024 Spring
The objective of the LFHS Spring program is get new players acquainted with the High School level of play, as well as meeting other LFHS players and the LFHS Coaching staff.
In the 2023-24 Fall season LFHS Hockey fielded 4 teams: 2 Varsity, and 2 Junior Varsity teams; the club’s highest participant numbers since organization nearly 50 years ago. Scouts hockey places emphasis on accountability, respect, teamwork, pride and tradition. Our teams not only make an impact in the community with our community service efforts, but also our dominance in the league standings. Players and parents alike are proud to be part of the Scouts Hockey program.
We hope you consider becoming part of our organization. Spring starts April 3rd and we look forward to having you and your family in the program.
Dates
- Starts April 1st and concludes May 31st.
- All practices will be Monday and Wednesday at Lake Forest College
Cost
- $725
- Players who choose to not participate in the spring season after tryouts are responsible for a $100 tryout fee.
Evaluations
Monday, April 1st
- Freshman and Sophomores – 5:30-6:30pm
- Juniors and Seniors – 6:45-7:45pm
Wednesday, April 3rd
- Juniors and Seniors – 5:30-6:30pm
- Freshman and Sophomores – 6:45-7:45pm
Why Evaluations?
- Each team will be playing in games against other High Schools throughout the spring and rosters must be certified by USA Hockey to play games
- Player safety and development need to be taken into consideration. Playing younger players in games with upperclassmen is not always the right decision. We put players in opportunities to be successful.
- At the high school level players can be rostered on two teams which can make the opportunity for three teams more realistic.
Teams
- From our returning players and prospect players entering the program there should be enough players for three teams.

Spring Program
- Monday: Team Practices or games
- Wednesday: Team Practices or games
- Random Weekdays and Weekends: Games against other High Schools, both home and away games. (Approximately 8 per team)

Starting the week of April 1st
- April 1st and 3rd are evaluations
- Spring 2024 Runs from April 1st until May 31st
