2021-22 Fall Hockey

LFHS hockey is in it's 41st year and incorporates players in the Lake Forest and Lake Bluff communities that attend Lake Forest High School.


LFHS Scout Hockey incorporates Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Seniors from Lake Forest High School. Birth Years for the 2021-22 season are 2007, 2006, 2005, and 2004. New incoming players pay an additional $500 equipment fee that includes Home and Away game jerseys and socks, bag, and pant shell. Players are responsible to get their own blue helmet which is required.


LFHS hockey starts with Training Camp (Tryouts) in late August and will run into March depending on league playoffs and the AHAI State tournament.


The LFHS club primarily skates out of the rink at Lake Forest college. All home games and practices are held at LFC. Occasionally there may be a practice at Lake Forest Academy, Tilt Ice Arena in Gurnee Mills Mall, and at the Winter Club of Lake Forest.


JV and Varsity will average 2 practices per week and 1 game per week. This will vary from week to week and some weeks may have 4-5 ice touches and some weeks may have 2-3 ice touches.


LFHS JV and Varsity both play in the IHSHL in the North Central Division. Both JV and Varsity will also play in 2-3 tournaments throughout the season. Between regular season league games, exhibition games, and tournaments each team will average 35 games.


If you're new to the program there is a one time equipment fee of $500.00 that includes a team bag, a set of game jerseys and game socks, pant shell, team gloves and helmet stickers.

Additional Costs

All players are required to have Royal blue helmets.

2021-22 Fall Hockey

Registration for the 2021-22 Fall Season is now open!  Our Training Camp (Tryout) schedule is below, all training camp sessions are at Lake Forest College.  To register you will need to pay the tryout fee of $295.00, after teams are selected you will be charged the fall season dues.

Training camp (Tryouts) will be Saturday August 21st, and Sunday August 22nd from 9:30am-3:30pm.  Training camp will consist of 2 on-ice and 2 off-ice sessions on Saturday, 2 on-ice sessions and 1 off-ice session on Sunday.  Players will be divided into groups prior to tryouts.
