Spring Hockey

The LF Scouts Hockey Spring program is designed to a) get new high school players acquainted with the high school level of play, as well as meeting other LFHS players and the LF Scouts Hockey coaching staff and b) keep existing players on the ice, fine-tuning their skills, competing and having fun. As with all of our seasons, we aim to make the spring season competitive, supportive and fun for all players and families.

Scouts Hockey places emphasis on accountability, respect, teamwork, pride and tradition. Our teams not only make an impact in the community with our community service efforts, but also our dominance in the league standings. Players and parents alike are proud to be part of the LF Scouts Hockey program.

We hope you consider becoming part of our organization. Spring starts March 31st and we look forward to having you and your family in the program.

Dates

  • Starts March 31st and concludes May 25th.
  • All practices will be Monday and Wednesday at Lake Forest College
  • There will be home and away games for all teams that will be spread out throughout the spring and could be on any day of the week. Player attendance at practices and games is expected.

Cost

Wednesday, April 3rd at Lake Forest College

  • Juniors and Seniors – 5:00-6:00pm
  • Freshman and Sophomores – 6:15-7:15pm

Why Evaluations?

  • Each team will be playing in games against other high schools throughout the spring and rosters must be certified by USA Hockey to play games.
  • Player safety and development need to be taken into consideration. Playing younger players in games with upperclassmen is not always the right decision. We put players in opportunities to be successful.
  • At the high school level players can be rostered on two teams which can make the opportunity for three teams more realistic.

Teams

  • Based on the number of returning players plus incoming prospect players, we expect three teams, possibly four teams if player numbers allow.
  • At the high school level players can be rostered on two LF Scouts Hockey teams which can make the opportunity for three, or four teams, more realistic.
